The words we use
The words this site uses, in one place.
- Mandate
- What an agent can do: which actions, up to what amount, and who it can pay. Written by the agent's owner.
- Rules decision
- The fixed rules' answer to a request: allow (yes), allow and flag (yes but flag it), ask a person, or deny (no). No AI is involved.
- Approval
- A person's yes, locked to one exact action. If the amount, the recipient or the mandate changes, it no longer counts.
- Undo window
- The 10 seconds after a yes when it can still be taken back. Nothing moves until it closes.
- Rail
- Where the money moves: your own Stripe account, or a stablecoin network like USDC on Base.
- Stand-in
- A rail that behaves like the real one but moves nothing. Always labeled.
- Receipt
- The signed record of one action, from mandate to outcome.
- Stop
- Halts an agent instantly. The stop is signed too.
