The rules for using getonbehalf.com and the Onbehalf Console, in plain words.
The short version
- Onbehalf is in test mode. No real money moves.
- The Console is invite only, and built for companies.
- Your rules decide and your people approve. Onbehalf seals a receipt. We don't guarantee any payment.
- We never hold your money or your private keys.
- It is free while we test. It comes with no warranty, and our liability is limited.
Who we are, and these terms
- Onbehalf is operated by Malcolm Henzaga. "We" and "us" mean Onbehalf and Malcolm Henzaga.
- These terms cover the website getonbehalf.com and the Console at app.getonbehalf.com.
- "You" means the company that uses the Console, and each person who uses it for that company.
- You accept these terms with one click the first time you sign in to the Console.
- If you accept for a company, you confirm you can do that for it. You also confirm you are 18 or older.
- Visiting the website means you accept the parts of these terms that cover the website.
- Our privacy policy says what we keep and why. Please read it with these terms.
- If we both sign a separate written agreement, that agreement wins where it differs.
What Onbehalf is
- Onbehalf checks what an AI agent asks to do with money. Your rules answer every request. A person approves when the rules say so. Onbehalf seals a receipt anyone can check.
- No AI makes the call. Fixed rules decide. People approve.
- Today it runs in test mode only: a test network with test USDC, and Stripe test mode. No real money moves.
- Onbehalf is for companies. It is not for consumers or personal use.
What Onbehalf is not
- Not a bank
- Onbehalf is not a bank, a money transmitter or a payment service. We never hold your money. It moves from your own accounts, through your own providers, only within your rules.
- Not your auditor
- We seal the record. We don't judge whether a payment was right. (We call ourselves a notary, but we are not a notary public.)
- Not a guarantee
- We don't guarantee any payment, provider or network.
- Not your agent
- You choose your agents, set the rules and approve. What your agent asks to do is your responsibility.
- Not advice
- Nothing here is financial, legal or tax advice.
The Console during testing
- Access is by invite. We can pause or end an invite, or someone's access, during testing.
- Use test mode only. Don't send real money, and don't enter live payment keys.
- Features can change, pause or stop while we test. Some things will break.
- The stop button never waits for a passkey.
Your account and your team
- Keep your email account and your passkeys safe. You are responsible for what happens under your company's accounts.
- Keep your agent's key safe. Anyone who holds it can make requests as your agent. If it leaks, stop the agent and tell us.
- Your admin invites your team and sets who can do what.
- Approving a payment needs your passkey. On a test network, your wallet signs it instead. Only approve what you mean.
- Only people your admin invites, such as your auditor, can use your Console.
- If you think someone got into your account, email hello@getonbehalf.com right away.
Your responsibilities
- You set your rules and limits, choose your recipients and approve payments. Check them.
- You are responsible for your agents, your accounts with other services, and the laws that apply to you.
- You confirm you can share the details you put in, such as your team's names and work emails, and your recipients' names.
- Don't use Onbehalf for anything illegal, or to harm anyone.
- You confirm you are not on a sanctions list, and not in a place under sanctions. Don't use Onbehalf to get around sanctions or export rules.
- Don't try to break, overload, copy or reverse-engineer Onbehalf. Don't try to reach data that isn't yours.
- Security testing needs our written permission first. Please report security problems to hello@getonbehalf.com.
Services you connect
- When you connect your Stripe account, Stripe's terms apply between you and Stripe.
- When you use a test-network wallet from Coinbase, Coinbase's terms apply between you and Coinbase.
- Your money stays in your own accounts there.
- You can disconnect Stripe any time. That removes our access, and your agents' permissions on that account.
- We are not responsible for their outages, errors or changes.
Your data and confidentiality
- Your data stays yours. You let us use it to run, secure, support and improve Onbehalf, as the privacy policy says.
- We keep your non-public information confidential. We use it only to work with you, and share it only with the services listed in the privacy policy, or when the law requires it.
- You can export your records from your Console at any time.
- Sealed records can't be edited. That is what makes them checkable.
- We never sell your data or use it to train AI models.
Feedback
- If you send us ideas or feedback, we can use them to improve Onbehalf. We owe no payment or credit for them.
- We never name you in public without your written permission.
What belongs to whom
- Onbehalf, its software, its name and its look belong to Malcolm Henzaga. These terms don't give you ownership of them.
- Open-source parts keep their own licenses.
- The receipts and records the Console makes for you are yours to keep, share and check.
Cost
- Onbehalf is free while we test.
- If that changes, we tell you first. Nothing is charged without your clear agreement.
Design partners
Design partners join on these terms, plus the program terms on our Design partners page:
- How long
- Up to 4 weeks. Most partners finish sooner.
- Your time
- About 2 hours in total, over three short calls. We run one of your payment flows in test mode together.
- Cost
- Free during the program.
- After
- Stay on, and you get a founding-partner discount for your first year. We'll set the amount together.
- Privacy
- A mutual NDA, if you want one.
- Your name
- We never name a design partner in public without written permission.
At the end, we will ask for a letter of intent. It is separate and non-binding. Only you sign it, and it binds neither of us.
No warranty
Onbehalf is a test service. We provide it "as is" and "as available". As far as the law allows, we make no promise that it is accurate, always available or free of errors.
Limits on liability
- As far as the law allows, we are not responsible for lost profits, lost data, or indirect losses.
- As far as the law allows, our total responsibility for all claims is limited to US$50.
- Some places don't allow some of these limits. Where that is so, they apply as far as the law allows.
Ending
- You can stop using Onbehalf at any time. Export your records first. Then ask us, and we close your account and delete your data, as the privacy policy says. Backups clear 30 days later.
- Receipts you have already shared stay with whoever has them.
- We can pause or end your access, for example if you break these terms, or to protect Onbehalf or others.
- We can also end the test program for everyone. We give notice when we can, and help you export your records.
- The parts about your data, confidentiality, feedback, no warranty and liability keep applying after the end.
Changes and notices
- We update these terms as Onbehalf grows, and change the date at the top.
- For important changes, we tell your admin first and ask you to accept again in the Console.
- We send notices to your admin's email. You can reach us at hello@getonbehalf.com.
- You can't pass these terms to someone else without our written yes.
- We plan to form a company to run Onbehalf. When we do, these terms pass to that company. We will tell you first.
The whole agreement
- These terms, with the program terms for design partners, are the whole agreement between us about Onbehalf.
- If one part can't be enforced, the rest still applies.
- If something goes wrong, email us first. We will try to fix it together.
